LSU football score vs South Carolina: Live updates | LSU

After two uninspiring early-season performances against Southern Cal and Nicholls State, the Tigers will play their first real away game of the season at a venue they haven’t played since 2008.

LSU holds an overall record of 19-2-1 against the Gamecocks. The only tie in the series came in 1995, and the Tigers have not lost to South Carolina since 1994.

South Carolina’s only other win in the series came in 1930, when these two teams faced each other for the first time.

LSU goes into Saturday’s game without running back John Emery and defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory, as both are out with injuries and are out for the rest of the season.

South Carolina is 2-0 this season, following a close Week 1 win over Old Dominion and a dominant Week 2 win over Kentucky.

Pre-match updates

LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton, safety Jordan Allen and edge rusher Da’Shawn Womack were listed as out on LSU’s injury report on Saturday.

Hilton has already missed the first two games of the season with a bone bruise, while Allen (pharyngeal toe) and Womack (unknown) were on the injury list on Wednesday. According to a report on Saturday, all three players are questionable.

Coach Brian Kelly designated Womack and linebacker West Weeks as game-time decisions on Thursday. Weeks will be eligible to play Saturday after being listed as questionable on LSU’s latest injury report.

Cornerback Zy Alexander was also listed on Saturday’s injury report and is likely to play. Wide receiver Kyle Parker, who is recovering from a UCL injury in his elbow, and left guard Garrett Dellinger were listed on LSU’s injury report earlier in the week but did not appear in Saturday’s update. Both players will be able to play against the Gamecocks.
