Lufthansa Airlines has opened its brand new premium lounge in Terminal B of Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, offering travelers a luxurious space to relax or stay productive before their flight. The 600-square-meter, elegant lounge is designed for comfort and convenience and meets the needs of discerning passengers.

The highlight of the lounge is the centrally located Skyline Bar, where guests can enjoy an extensive selection of drinks. The menu offers a selection of cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages as well as craft beer on tap from New Jersey, the “Garden State”. The culinary offering is also impressive: fresh regional dishes are served in the bistro area. This summer, the menu includes delicacies such as Jersey cornbread with candied tomato jam and sandwiches with trumpet mushrooms, bacon, crisp lettuce and tomato chutney on sourdough bread.

Those looking for an upscale culinary experience can treat themselves to an exclusive à la carte menu in a private dining area: First Class passengers and HON Circle members can indulge themselves there. The selection is complemented by a curated list of top wines and champagnes, ensuring an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Lufthansa has invested around 10 million euros in this state-of-the-art lounge, underlining its commitment to improving the travel experience of its premium customers.

Victoria Schuster, Vice President Product & Customer Experience Lufthansa Airlines, says: “We are proud to present our guests in Newark with a new lounge that sets new standards. It offers private travelers cozy retreats to relax and our business customers spacious work areas. This lounge is a testament to our commitment to the customer, as we strive to continuously improve the experience for our guests on the ground and in the air. That is why we continue to invest in our offering worldwide, whether in New Jersey or elsewhere, to meet Lufthansa’s premium standards and, above all, those of our guests.”

The newly opened lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport has space for around 170 guests and is 25 percent larger than its predecessor. The expanded lounge is available to first and business class passengers of all Lufthansa Group airlines to Newark, as well as HON Circle members and Senators.

Designed to meet the diverse needs of travelers, the lounge offers a multifunctional layout that appeals to both business and leisure travelers. Approximately a third of the space is reserved for business travelers, offering functional communal tables with wireless charging and printing capabilities to help guests stay productive before their flight.

The remaining space is designed for relaxation, offering comfortable seating for various group sizes, from solo travelers to couples or larger groups. The lounge also includes multi-purpose rooms that can be used for meetings, phone calls or even as a play area for children, making it a versatile environment for all types of passengers.

Lufthansa currently operates around 60 lounges at 17 locations worldwide and always offers its guests a comfortable and convenient space to relax or work before their journey.
