Lynda Carter supports her sister’s opponents in the race for the Arizona House of Representatives

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – Lynda Carter, the former star of the hit 1970s television series “Wonder Woman,” has urged people not to vote for her sister in November.

She posted on social media that in the race for the fourth district of the Arizona House of Representatives, she is supporting not her sister Pamela Carter, but two Democrats: Karen Gresham and former state representative Kelli Butler.

“It was very exciting. I was very honored to have the support of Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter,” said Gresham.

The candidates are fighting for two seats in the House of Representatives.

The two Republican candidates are Pamela Carter and incumbent Rep. Matt Gress.

One of the key issues in this race that could determine which party controls the state’s House of Representatives is abortion.

“Reproductive rights are a big issue this year. Of course the initiative is on the ballot, but it’s on a lot of people’s minds. We’ve knocked on a lot of people’s doors and the issue comes up quite a lot,” Gresham said.

She supports the ballot initiative to protect access to abortion in Arizona and Lynda Carter is an advocate for women’s reproductive rights.

Pamela Carter, who supports an anti-abortion agenda, released a statement after her sister supported her Democratic opponents.

Gress was one of three Republicans who voted to repeal Arizona’s near-total abortion ban earlier this year.

In a statement, he announced that he disagreed with Pamela Carter’s stance on abortion and with the stance of his Democratic opponents in general. He rejected both extremes and had previously worked with both parties.
