Malik Nabers made impressive NFL history while leading the Giants to their first victory

The New York Giants are back on track for the first time since Week 18 of last season after defeating the Cleveland Browns 21-15 on Sunday.

Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers had a huge impact on the offense in the win over the Browns, leading the team with eight passes caught on 12 attempts and scoring two touchdowns.

Nabers’ NFL career has had a historic start: According to NFL researcher Tony Holzman-Escareno, the 21-year-old was the first player in league history to record over 20 receptions, over 250 receiving yards and three or more touchdown catches in his first three games.

This year, Nabers has already recorded 23 receptions, 271 yards and three touchdowns, making him the clear No. 1 player in New York’s offense. The Giants selected Nabers with the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU, and he is already proving to be worth the hefty investment.

Since their Week 1 struggles, Daniel Jones hasn’t thrown an interception in the last two games. He’s relied heavily on his connection with Nabers so far, targeting the highly-rated rookie 37 times in the first three weeks of the season.

The next test for Nabers and New York will be in Week 4 when the team faces the Dallas Cowboys at home on Thursday night.
