Man attacked and robbed with glass bottle in New York subway station

A man was hit with a glass bottle and then robbed in a subway station in Queens, New York, New York police said.

The attack occurred around 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station in Elmhurst.

According to police, the 42-year-old man was approached by three men who hit him with a glass bottle and then took his wallet containing about $300.

The people fled on a commuter train heading north, police said.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

2 men stabbed to death in subway

Meanwhile, two men were stabbed in a subway on Thursday morning, New York police said.

The stabbing occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on a southbound Q train near the Times Square–42nd Street subway station.

According to police, one of the two was stabbed in the hand and the other in the stomach. The age of the victims is unknown.

The suspect, who is still at large, is described as a dark-skinned teenager.

There is no information yet about the circumstances of the stabbing.
