With Erling Haaland failing to score any points in the 2024/25 season, defending champions Manchester City return home to face newly promoted Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
City picked up three points in their opening game against Chelsea, Haaland scoring in the 18th minute to put the Blues ahead. The 2-0 win was completed when Mateo Kovacic finished off the Blues in the 84th minute to secure three points to start the year.
Ipswich, on the other hand, have had a brutal start to their Premier League campaign, losing to Liverpool in their first home game before visiting Pep Guardiola’s side. Against the Reds, they managed to go into halftime with the score unchanged, but in typical Liverpool fashion, they rallied from the doldrums and struck quickly, with Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota scoring goals five minutes apart to secure the win.
