Man stabbed to death at Studio City subway station

STUDIO CITY, CA – Police are searching for an attacker who stabbed a man during a fight at the Universal City/Studio City subway station overnight.

The stabbing was first reported around midnight near the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard. According to NBC 4, Los Angeles Police Department officers found the victim at the station with stab wounds to his arm.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

It was initially unclear why the stabbing occurred, and there was no description of the suspect.

The stabbing occurred at the same subway station where a woman was stabbed to death in April as she got off the subway to go to work.

The suspect, later identified as 45-year-old Elliot Tramel Nowden, was arrested about 30 minutes later near Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue, according to Los Angeles police.
