At the end of the first “Restaurant Week” in Maple Grove, the restaurant owners are celebrating a success.

“We had a lot of fun this week,” said AJ Stevens, owner of Malone’s Bar & Grill. “Monday started with live music, Tuesday was kids’ night, Wednesday we had a beer party on the patio. It was fantastic. We saw a lot more people.”

Malone’s Bar & Grill is one of nearly 30 restaurants in Maple Grove that are offering some sort of special for Restaurant Week.

Malone’s is one of the places benefitting from Maple Grove’s first “Restaurant Week.”

Local tourism officials at Experience Maple Grove say they look forward to expanding the event next year.

“Eat something, have fun and at the end of the week there will be some great prizes given out to people who visited the restaurants,” said Kat Perkins, a spokeswoman for Experience Maple Grove. “And honestly, just to get the word out about places like Malone’s and places like OMNI Brewing and Paulie’s and the Lookout Grill, one of my favorites.”

The “Restaurant Week” ends on Sunday, August 18th.
