MARCUS ALLARD TRUCK RENTAL: This week in IUN Athletics: August 26 – September 2

The second week of play begins on Wednesday with the Indiana University Northwest football teams returning to the field, while the volleyball teams travel to Adrian, Michigan, for the Siena Heights tournament this weekend.

Wednesday, August 28

6pm – Men’s soccer at Taylor
7:00 p.m. – IU Kokomo in women’s soccer (Sparta Dome)

Friday, August 30

3:00 p.m. – Volleyball at Siena Heights
5:00 p.m. – Volleyball against Bethel (Ind.)

Saturday, August 31

9 a.m. – Volleyball vs. Midway (Ky.)
1:00 p.m. – Volleyball against Spring Arbor
5:00 p.m. – Men’s soccer at Spring Arbor

Men’s football

After a tough matchup on Saturday, the RedHawks look to bounce back against in-state rival Taylor on Wednesday night in central Indiana. This will be the first meeting between the two teams as the Trojans start the season 2-1-0.

IUN then travels to Spring Arbor, Michigan to face Spring Arbor in what will also be their first ever meeting. The Cougars are also 2-1-0 and travel to Madonna before hosting the RedHawks on Saturday night.

Women’s football

This week, IUN will look to maintain its best form when it welcomes IU Kokomo to the Crown Point Sparta Dome. The RedHawks and Cougars met for the first time last season and IUN won 2-1.

In two games this season, the RedHawks had three different goal scorers, while Isabel Escalera allowed only one goal in nine chances and managed a shutout against Michigan-Dearborn.

volleyball

The RedHawks are off to their best start in two seasons and will look to continue that momentum this weekend in Michigan. IUN will play Spring Arbor for the second time in as many weeks and will also face host Siena Heights on Friday, Bethel on Friday and Midway on Saturday.

Last weekend, Erica Packwood had a pair of triple-doubles, while Josephine Mulligan totaled 89 assists and six aces in the four games in Fort Wayne. Mulligan and Packwood lead the league in assists and kills, respectively.
