Mariners Game #152, Preview: 9/18/24, NYY at SEA

Mariners Game #152, Preview: 9/18/24, NYY at SEA

After last night’s grotesque performance, the Mariners will send another of their young pitchers to the mound tonight, Bryce Miller, to face the crafty veteran and ex-Marine player Nester Cortes. Cortes and the Yankees will be looking to secure a postseason berth, which they can do with a win tonight.

Lineups:

News:

Victor Robles is having trouble holding his bat, according to manager Dan Wilson. He is not in the lineup today and could be day-to-day.

Luke Raley is out of the starting lineup against left-hander Nestor Cortes, but it will be interesting to see if he is available as a replacement. Raley was sore after being hit in the side by left-hander CJ Widger of the Everett AquaSox in a live pregame BP, as some of the young pitchers were at the park today for a live BP against pro hitters.
