Marjorie Taylor Greene criticizes Trump’s girlfriend Laura Loomer for “extremely racist” post about Kamala Harris

MAGA supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene called out far-right agitator Laura Loomer on Wednesday, accusing the failed congressional candidate of racism and misrepresenting the Republican Party for using racist stereotypes about South Asians in a post about Kamala Harris.

On September 8, Loomer, a self-described “proud Islamophobe” who was once banned from Twitter for anti-Muslim comments, responded to a post by Harris with photos from a childhood visit to India: “If @KamalaHarris wins, the White House will smell of curry and the White House speeches will be delivered through a call center and the American people will only be able to provide feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.”

“This is horrific and extremely racist,” said Rep. Greene of Georgia in response to X. “This does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This behavior should never be tolerated.”

Loomer then fired called Greene an “angry anti-Semite” and claimed her post was a “funny joke about Kamala Harris” who “uses her Indian mother to avoid questions.”

In fact, both women have long been accused of spreading hate, an accusation that has not stopped them from receiving praise from Donald Trump.

Loomer made hateful remarks about Somali-born Rep. Ilhan Omar and once called for a new ride-sharing service that did not include Muslims.

The far-right politician ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Florida in 2022 and was repeatedly praised by Donald Trump.

She even flew with Trump to the presidential debate on Tuesday and was with him the following day.

Greene has also made numerous inflammatory statements in the past, including spreading conspiracy theories about 9/11 and the Parkland shooting. Before her election, she claimed that a prominent Jewish banking family had set fires in California using a space laser.

She also accused Congressmen Omar and Rashida Tlaib – both Muslims – of not being “truly official” members of Congress because they did not take their oath of office over a Bible.

“I really want to talk to these ladies and ask them what they think and why they serve in our American government,” Greene said. “They really should return to the Middle East.”

Greene’s history of seditious claims led Democrats to strip her of her committee assignments in 2021.

Greene is a longtime Trump ally and regularly appears at his campaign rallies. At one event in June, she compared the former president to Jesus Christ.

Trump, for his part, regularly mocks Harris for her heritage, deliberately mispronouncing her name and accusing Harris – whose father is from Jamaica, who attended an HBCU and is a member of one of the largest black sororities in the country – of only deciding to “go black” for the first time in recent days.
