Maybe we’ll soon find out what “Yakuza Wars” is all about. A few weeks ago, Ryu Ga Gotoku secured a trademark with that name in Japan.
Now the “Like a Dragon” studio has announced the regular RGG Summit 2024, which will take place on September 20, 2024 at 12 noon German time. The show will provide the latest information on the “Like a Dragon” series, once known as Yakuza.
New work on the upcoming Like a Dragon series spin-off has long been confirmed. Ryu Ga Gotoku has also already announced that they will be presenting a new game at the Tokyo Game Show.
The “new game” may be the “new Like a Dragon”, but that has not been confirmed. It is also possible that we already know the name, “Yakuza Wars”. But “Yakuza Wars” sounds more like a spin-off than a new main part, don’t you think?
The upcoming series adaptation Like a Dragon: Yakuza, by the way, noticeably uses both names, while the most recent video game Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth no longer had “Yakuza” in its name. We’ll know in a few weeks. You can follow along live here.
