Sometimes you just get really fed up with your job. Anyone who has ever worked hard in their life knows firsthand how frustrating and boring it can all be. And if you’re in the fast food or retail business, the anger is doubled. Everyone feels extra entitled instead of feeling compassion for the hundreds of people they serve every day. However, this McDonald’s employee takes his anger to the next level.

Recently, McDonald’s employee Joshua Daryl McGregor was working as usual at a local restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. Apparently, during a Sunday shift, the restaurant is so busy that it’s messing with his brain a little. The constant ringing, the incessant requests are quickly overwhelming McGregor. How does he get them all to stop? Instead of doing something normal like quitting, he makes sure no one ever goes to that McDonald’s again.

McDonald’s is so busy that an employee sets the restaurant on fire

Joshua goes outside with a piece of cardboard. He lights it on fire and throws it in the dumpster. This should surely give him a little break. What he doesn’t know, however, is that the dumpster is filled with flammable material. Consequently, the fire gets out of control while he is filming the aftermath. Then, customers quickly rush out of the McDonald’s drive-thru and restaurant without ordering. In a way, McGregor gets what he wants this way. On the other hand, he also creates evidence that he is the man behind the crime.

The local McDonald’s closes briefly while authorities put out the fire. Surveillance footage catches Joshua in the act and police charge the employee with arson. He eventually pleads guilty and the judge sentences him to 5 years in prison for this ordeal. I don’t know why he doesn’t just quit like most normal people would in this situation. I guess this is his way of getting back at the man. Now he’s in prison because of it.
