The Mega Millions Jackpot rose to an estimated $740 million after not a single ticket had the correct winning numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.

The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday were 12, 41, 43, 52 and 55 with a Mega Ball number of 9. The Megaplier was 4X.

On Tuesday night, no one won the jackpot estimated at $681 million, but a player from Kansas and another from Michigan matched all five white balls and won $1 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Friday, when players will try to win the estimated $740 million top prize, which is a Cash payment option of $366.3 million. It would be the seventh-largest prize if won on Friday.

Winners have the option to choose the cash prize instead of the Mega Millions annuity, which is paid in one immediate payment and then in 29 annual payments.

The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 302,575,350, depending on the game.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on June 4, when a player from Illinois matched all six numbers to take home the $552 million prize, the 10th largest jackpot in the game’s history.

The record jackpot of $1.602 billion was won in Florida on August 8, 2023.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. The deadline for Buying a ticket is on the night of the draws on Tuesday and Friday at 9:45 p.m.
