HAMTRAMCK, MI – A Michigan chocolate shop has been listed as one of the top 10 in the entire country.
Bon Bon Bon ranked 7th on USA Today’s list of the 10 best chocolate shops in the United States.
“This Hamtramck-based artisan chocolate company creates candies with clever flavor combinations and eye-catching designs that look as delicious as they taste,” wrote USA Today.
Bon Bon Bon’s founder and head chocolatière, Alexandra Clark, started the company 10 years ago in the back room of a Coney Island restaurant.
Since then, she has made Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list as she and her chocolatiers produce over 100 different varieties of custom handmade chocolate at two locations in Detroit and one in Ann Arbor.
“At their hand, the pastry chefs at Bon Bon Bon – affectionately known as ‘The Babes Babes Babes’ – use classic French techniques with Detroit ingenuity and local ingredients to create these delicacies,” added USA Today.
And just this month, Clark announced that she will open her first chocolate shop outside of Michigan (excluding pop-ups). The shop will be in Boston.
