More than 20,000 Clay Electric customers in the Orange Park area are reportedly without power

More than 20,000 Clay Electric customers were without power in Orange Park on Saturday morning, the utility company said website.

The outage was first reported at 9:48 a.m. and large areas were still affected as of 10:30 a.m. The utility’s outage map shows that 13,043 customers around the First Coast Expressway and Oakleaf area are reportedly without power. In addition, 2,554 customers around Blanding Boulevard are affected and 4,678 customers in the Orange Park area are without power.

On Facebook, Clay Electric addressed the situation and stated: “We are aware of the power outage affecting members of our Orange Park District. Please be patient while we work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. The best way to report power outages is through the MyClayElectric app. You will also receive email notifications of power outages and estimated restoration times when they are available.”
