My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats have teamed up and announced a two-day event streaming on nugs.net that will benefit HeadCount, known for harnessing the power of music while encouraging people to register to vote and support democracy. Set to take place on September 18 and 19 at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee, the event is part of the aforementioned bands’ Eye To Eye Tour 2024 and acts as a pit stop with added meaning – a mix of singing and bipartisan intent to get the public to vote.
The Nashville dates are a continuation of My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ joint Eye To Eye Tour, a co-headlining tour in which both bands play equal-length sets and switch the order of performances at each show. That tour is scheduled to begin tonight, September 10, at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park in Wilmington, NC. Additional shows are planned throughout the Southern United States, culminating with a September 28 concert at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, NC.
As a nice feature of My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ Eye To Eye Tour, the band has partnered with REVERB to reduce their environmental impact on the road in recognition of the current and ongoing global climate crisis. For more information, visit reverb.org.
For those unable to attend the upcoming Nashville concerts in person, a one-night livestream and a discounted two-night package will be offered. Net proceeds from these livestreams will benefit HeadCount. Pro-shot videos will be available at nugs.net/headcount in 4K or HD, and fans can watch live or on-demand on nugs.net with unlimited access through September 29, with an additional 48 hours of on-demand replays after playback starts.
