WATKINS GLEN, NY – William Byron will start from 7th place in the NASCAR Xfinity Series main race on Saturday afternoon at Watkins Glen International.
Byron, the last NASCAR Cup Series winner at the 2.45-mile circuit, will return to the No. 17 HendrickCars.com entry for the fourth time this year. Leading the pit lane will be Brandon McSwain, who also served as crew chief in Byron’s three previous starts in the division this season.
Rookie Connor Zilisch qualified for the race on pole.

The race begins at 3:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the USA Network.

Byron was sixth fastest during the 20-minute practice session with a lap time of 72.763 seconds. Zilisch was also the fastest in practice with a lap time of 72.069 seconds.
