Nash & Smash open the MOCO restaurant in September

SILVER SPRING, MD — Nash & Smash is bringing its chicken, Nashville-style sandwiches and smashed burger to Montgomery County soon.

The expanding restaurant chain has opened branches in Ellicott City and Laurel, with locations in Silver Spring and Columbia to follow soon.

Nash & Smash owner Zayan Abbasi told MoCo360 that the store will open in early to mid-September at the Woodmoor Shopping Center at 10121 Colesville Road in Silver Spring.

The new restaurant is located in a former Subway sandwich shop and is between Bento, a Japanese restaurant, and Woodmoor Cleaners, MoCo360 reported.

According to the MoCo Show, which first reported on the restaurant’s opening, the store’s signs and window decals have been posted at the restaurant since late June.

“Our expertise lies in producing delicious fried chicken, chicken wings and strips, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour,” Nash & Smash’s website says of the offering. “We are very proud to offer a diverse selection, including delicious mocktails and irresistible cakes.”

Smash burgers come in a variety of sizes, from 3, 6, 9 and 12 ounces, so guests can customize their order based on their appetite.

The chain said it sources its ingredients locally to contribute to the growth and sustainability of its local partners.
