Natrona County Health and Food Inspections (08/19/24–08/25/24)

Natrona County Health and Food Inspections (08/19/24–08/25/24)

CASPER, Wyoming – The Casper-Natrona County Health Department inspects restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food trucks, cafeterias and food outlets. Each establishment undergoes an unannounced inspection at least twice a year.

According to the department, “there are three types of violations: priority violations, priority fundamental violations and core violations.”

While the Department of Health looks for deficiencies, the organization’s main goal is to educate companies and help them understand unsafe practices and find ways to correct them.

According to Natrona County’s Environmental Health Program Manager, “There is no sliding scale and no pass or fail in health inspections.” Each violation is either corrected immediately or within 10 days, meaning a violation does not make the business unsafe.

If a re-inspection is required, the problem may have been more serious or the facility needed more time to fix it. You have 10 days to fix the problem, and Heald says most facilities can easily meet that requirement.

Any serious violations or notable citations will be listed in the summary notes below, but the full report on each restaurant can be found on the department’s website, where all current information is posted.
