New details on assembly line sushi restaurant opening in Loudoun

It’s been so long you may have forgotten, but The Burn finally has new details on a major Asian restaurant opening in Loudoun County.

It is called Running bowl and is located in Sugarland Crossing Shopping center. This is the same center on Route 7 with the Burlington store, Lidl grocery store, and JoAnn Fabric store.

We first reported on Running Dish in July 2023 when the lease was signed. However, information about the restaurant’s plans has been hard to come by – until now.

“We are an all-you-can-eat restaurant specializing in Korean barbecue, hot pot and rotating sushi,” says the website currently under construction. “Whether you’re craving the rich flavors of a barbecue, the nourishing warmth of a hot pot, or the fresh delights of sushi, we’ll satisfy your taste buds.”

By “revolving sushi,” they apparently mean a conveyor belt that moves a seemingly endless supply of sushi dishes through the dining room, allowing diners to select dishes as they roll by.

The menu for Running Dish has not been released yet and we don’t have an opening date yet. But we looked through the window and construction is well underway.

We will keep you updated, so stay tuned.
