There’s Yellow Brick Road, Mrs. Walkers, Riches, Miss Mindy’s and Muller’s Creamery, to name a few.

But the other night my wife and I stumbled upon the coolest little ice cream shop near the coast.

What is the coolest ice cream shop in New Jersey?

When you park in the parking lot, the first thing you’ll see is that behind the ice cream shop there is a small mini golf course, cornhole, tables, and some other yard games that you can play while you enjoy your ice cream.

Then you go in and are immediately overwhelmed by the choice of flavors.

If I remember correctly, there were 36 options to choose from, plus sundaes, milkshakes, specialty coffees, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream for your dog.

But what really made this place stand out in my opinion were the flavored waffle cones.

There were orange waffles with the flavor of orange popsicles, purple waffles with the flavor of lavender, and many more.

My wife had to get a scoop of birthday cake ice cream in a red velvet cone and she was not disappointed!

It’s called Sweet Shack and is located where Pies Place used to be on Route 9 in Bayville.\t

I accidentally got a scoop of peanut butter brownie, a vegan ice cream, and I’m not going to lie, it was perhaps one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had.

If ice cream isn’t always your thing, Jersey also has some really fantastic dives.
