New Jersey’s dining scene is full of fantastic restaurants, hidden bargains, and wonderful little mom-and-pop shops that will leave you wanting more.
You don’t have to go far either; in Ocean Gate alone, where my wife and I live, Linda’s Pizza and the Anchor In are just a stone’s throw from our house.
Fantastic pizza, steaks, seafood and ice cold beer with plenty of local charm.
But sometimes you need something quick and easy, and that’s where fast food comes in handy. But even fast food in New Jersey is unique.
For example, we have the new Taco-Tastic drive-through location on 37 where the old Farm Store used to be.
Taco-Tastci is not fast food, but good, fast food.

We also have the only two Roy Rogers in the state, right here in Ocean County, in Pine Beach and Brick.
But did you know that Jersey is also home to one of the most historic fast food restaurants in the country?
One of America’s most historic fast food restaurants is located in New Jersey
Known for its small sliders topped with cheese and onions, this fast-food joint opened during the 1939 World’s Fair but did not become permanent until 1946.
According to Love Food, when you grab a bite to eat at the legendary White Manna Burger Shop, it’s more than just a burger, it’s a piece of American history.
The shop is small but full of history and charm. Not much has changed since it opened almost 90 years ago.
White Manna, 358 River Street in Hackensack, is a New Jersey dining icon.
New Jersey also has some pretty awesome dives that you should definitely check out.
