New manager announced for Cape Girardeau Regional Airport – KBSI Fox 23 Cape Girardeau News

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau has a new airport manager.

Cape Girardeau City Manager Dr. Kenneth Haskin has appointed JoJo Stuart as the city’s new airport manager.

Stuart has extensive experience in aviation, firefighting and emergency management. He has over seven years of experience in airport operations management, 16 years with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and most recently served as Fire Chief/Deputy Chief of Emergency Management.

“I am excited to have JoJo take on this role. I was immediately impressed by his wealth of experience, composure under pressure and strong character,” said Dr. Haskin. “I know JoJo’s experience and knowledge will be a great asset to our community and we expect a smooth and seamless transition.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of the airport’s growth and continued success and all the opportunities it can bring to the city of Cape Girardeau,” said Stuart.

Stuart holds an Associate of Science degree in Aviation Management/Flight Operations and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Daniel Webster College.

He also holds multiple fire protection certifications, including incident command certifications, and has extensive experience in the use of aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles (ARFF).

Stuart begins his new role immediately, working alongside current Airport Manager Katrina Amos until her departure on September 13.
