New mural added to Baltimore Peninsula Park

New mural added to Baltimore Peninsula Park

A new mural has been installed on a utility building in Elijah’s Park in the Baltimore Peninsula complex. The colorful mural featuring various shapes was created by muralists Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn.

Unterhalter and Truhn have painted murals across the country. Their work in Baltimore includes a large mural at UNION Craft Brewing and at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Elijah’s Park, named in honor of the late Elijah Cummings, opened last year. There is a playground with slides, play equipment, landscaping, canopies, and a blue crab-shaped jungle gym. The park also has a plaza with benches and canopies, and a green space.

The park was designed by Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects and Baltimore-based PI.KL Studio Architects. The playground was designed by Danish playground manufacturer MONSTRUM.
