New singer of Linkin Park causes surprise and controversy

It’s been more than seven years since Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington was found dead in his California home at age 41. He had committed suicide. Now, a new chapter is beginning for the alternative rock band, complete with a new co-singer and some associated controversy. “This could work,” Emily Armstrong, the co-founder of alternative rock band Dead Sara, says of her latest job in a video on the band’s Instagram page. The news comes with the announcement that Linkin Park will also kick off a small world tour through November on Wednesday, hitting Los Angeles, New York and London, as well as Hamburg, Germany, Seoul, South Korea and Bogota, Colombia. Armstrong will share vocal duties with returning band member Mike Shinoda, according to the AP.
