“N**gas have been firing shots for years”

On Thursday (22 August) Billboard released a new feature with ASAP Rocky, who talked about his relationship with Rihanna, fatherhood, his upcoming work and much more. He also confirmed his Drake diss on Future and Metro Boomin’s WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU standout “Show of Hands,” in which he rapped, “N**gas got feelings for women, what, you hurt or what? I popped before you was born, son, Flacko struck first, son.”

“You have to realize that certain niggers have been shooting at each other for years,” he told the paper. “I’m not in the middle of it. That’s not how I react now. I’ve got more important things to do than some wimp. There’s real bickering out there. It’s real. Niggers get shot at and bombed every day. Niggers shoot at other niggers every day. This little shit is not about anything.”

In May, Drake responded to his former ally with “Family Matters,” a track that also addressed friends-turned-foes like Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and – most famously – Kendrick Lamar. “Rakim talkin’ sh*t again, I’m all fucked up ’cause you hit my ass first, n**ga count who I hit back then? I don’t even know you still rappin’ ’cause they just talkin’ ’bout your fitness again, you probably gotta have another kid before you think about bustin’ sh*t again, and even if you do, they gon’ say you shoulda been modelin’ ’cause it’s mid-teens again,” the OVO star claimed on wax.

Elsewhere in the Billboard In the interview, Rocky talked about his long-awaited fourth studio LP, Don’t be stupidwhich has reportedly been pushed back to sometime this fall. “It’s very dark right now. It’s a shortcut,” he explained of the project. “It combines German expressionism with ghetto futurism.” The ASAP Mob frontman also revealed that the album was well received by director Tim Burton and features contributions from composer Danny Elfman.
