There is a unique real estate offering for Atlantic County that definitely defies virtually all New Jersey stereotypes.
A 22-acre property in Egg Harbor Township has been known as Winding Creek Alpaca Farm for about six years.
When it comes to farmland in New Jersey, alpacas are a relatively new addition.
Alpacas, which are native to the mountains of South America, have only been privately owned in the United States since the 1980s.
Their popularity has increased in New Jersey over the past few decades.
According to the Alpacas Owners Association, there were more than 5,000 alpacas registered throughout New Jersey in August.
The owners had a dream, made it come true and are now bringing this impressive property to market, says real estate agent Meredith Exum.
At the end of August the asking price was $1.5 million – here is a glimpse into this outstanding property.
