Northern California’s largest vegan food festival returns to Berkeley this weekend

This Sunday1 September Berkeley is hosting the Fourth Annual Bizerkeley Food Festival, the largest vegan food festival in Northern California. Erika Hazel, founder of the eventhas set itself the goal of presenting the diversity and creativity of vegan cuisine.

The Bizerkeley Food Festival is a celebration of vegan cuisine, culture and community. The festival brings together over 100 vendors with a wide range of vegan food, drinks, lifestyle products and wellness offersWhat awaits you:

  • 100 providers: Sample a wide selection of vegan food and drinks. With over 40 food and drink vendors, including local favorites like All Pau Berkeley, Chef J Redd and The Vegan Hood Chefs.
  • Live music: Enjoy live music and dance performances throughout the day.
  • Family activities: The festival is family-friendly and offers activities such as bouncy castle, cornhole and giant Jenga in the Game Zone.
  • Silent auction and support for the animal shelter: Participate in a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary, allowing visitors to bid on unique prizes while supporting a great cause.

What to expect on the festival grounds

The festival will be divided into different sections, each offering a unique experience:

  • World of tomorrow: Discover innovative vegan products and ideas from leading companies.
  • Creatureland: Interact with animals from local shelters that are available for adoption.
  • Beer region: A selection of alcoholic beverages is available for everyone over 21 years of age.
  • University Ave USA: Showcases Berkeley-based companies and products.

Tickets are available online and at the door. General admission is $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Berkeley residents and EBT cardholders receive free admissionAnyone who would like to volunteer can Register online.
