Northern Waters Smokehaus named best restaurant in Duluth

Northern Waters Smokehaus named best restaurant in Duluth

Now I’m hungry! A popular sandwich shop in Canal Park has been named the best restaurant in Duluth.

Who awarded the title?

First of all, it was the Star Tribune that awarded this trendy spot the title of “Best Restaurant in the Duluth Area.” But that’s not all!

This particular place was also named the best seafood restaurant in Minnesota. Although I don’t necessarily consider it a seafood restaurant. Ha!

You probably guessed it already! Northern Waters Smokehaus is the popular restaurant that nabbed both of these titles. Congratulations!

These titles are technically awarded by Minnesotans, who can vote for their favorites in a variety of categories for the Star Tribune and its annual Minnesota’s Best contest.

Details of the competition were posted on Northern Waters Smokehaus’ social media pages earlier this year. They were also nominated for Best Deli, Best Sandwiches and Best Catering!

I’m glad they got two wins, especially a statewide one. Anyone who lives in or has ever been to Duluth knows that their sandwiches are truly unique and pretty amazing.

Late last year they moved to another location in Canal Park. I’m ashamed to admit that I only went here once before the move, and now it’s a little too easy for me to stop by this new location in the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace and grab a sandwich.
