(The following is a transcript of the entire broadcast)

The main purpose of the rally was to call for an arms embargo and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

After several speakers took the stage, they marched through the streets of East Lansing with flags and signs.

Rally organizers said it was one of 84 taking place across the country and called for “not another bomb.”

“We feel betrayed by the people we voted in office. They must either make a promise now to the nations committing genocide or face the consequences in November.”

The Democratic Party Convention begins on Monday in Chicago.
