Nuuly’s 300,000-square-foot warehouse in Levittown is the backbone of the clothing rental service’s recent success.

Nuuly’s 29,000-square-foot warehouse in Levittown is the backbone of the clothing rental service’s recent success, writes Liz Young for the Wall Street Journal.

This facility has more than 2 million garments, from elegant evening dresses to casual T-shirts, all carefully tracked by a state-of-the-art automated system.

Once a customer places an order, each item is labeled and located within seconds. Automation, combined with a complex network of cables, transports the clothing quickly and directly to the workers who prepare the items for shipment.

This efficiency was critical to Nuuly’s recent financial turnaround, helping the company generate operating income of $5.3 million for the quarter ended July 31.

By optimizing logistics and streamlining operations, Nuuly has not only made a profit but also set a new standard for the industry.

As demand for rental fashion increases, this Levittown facility plays a critical role in ensuring Nuuly can meet customer needs while remaining profitable.
