Oakland, California – Golden Hours: Alcohol worker pulls gun on biker mob

A mob of laughing cyclists attacked a California liquor store clerk before fleeing screaming as the clerk pointed a gun at his attackers in a chaotic scene caught on video.

The unidentified employee stood outside Golden Hours Liquor on International Boulevard in Oakland on Saturday, where he confronted more than two dozen bicyclists who had surrounded the area outside the store.

According to a video posted on Instagram, the worker attempted to punch one of the bikers in the face, who was punching his other hand in a mocking manner.

While the two were talking, another biker punched the worker in the face, causing his hat to fly off and him to back away from his attacker out of frame.

Another biker, wearing a balaclava, runs behind the worker and punches the unsuspecting victim in the side of the neck before delivering another blow to the worker’s head, after which others follow suit.

The bikers’ attack quickly sparked a scuffle outside the store, with dozens of people attacking the clerk and punching and slapping their victim.

“Get him, get him,” several people shout.

Several of the laughing bikers hit the worker on the head and torso as they pushed him into the store’s entrance.

The worker, who was bent over and taking the blows raining down on him, pulled out a gun, whereupon the once tough bikers ran away in panic and tried to flee the area.

The armed worker positioned himself with his back close to a wall and aimed at one of the attackers before lowering his arm and chasing them on foot.

“Where are you, where are you?” the worker shouts as the cameraman struggles to keep his bike off the ground.

Oakland police arrived in the area around 4:15 p.m. to investigate a “ShotSpotter activation,” the Oakland Police Department told the Daily Mail.

“ShotSpotter” is a gunshot detection system that alerts first responders when it detects gunshots.

According to the news agency, officers found “evidence of a shooting,” but there were no reports of injuries.

No arrests were made in the brawl on Saturday.

The employee put his weapon away but remained outside the store as several people attempted to confront him after he drew the weapon.
