FC Barcelona are finally returning to official league action as the Catalan giants face their latest challenge in La Liga. This time, Hansi Flick’s side face Michel’s Girona in a match that promises to be extremely interesting. However, to maintain their perfect record, Barcelona will be looking for another win here.

Having won all four of their first matches, Barça will be hoping to continue their winning streak, while Girona will be looking to stop them from doing so while also picking up all three points in front of their home crowd.

Before the actual game, Barcelona has now officially announced its starting eleven for the match against the Catalan club. As expected, Hansi Flick seems to have chosen a strong eleven to be able to meet the challenge of a demanding game.

As always, the new and now undisputed German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is in goal. The Barcelona veteran may have fulfilled his dream of becoming his country’s best goalkeeper, but he still has to give his best and that will be no different today.

Directly in front of him are the two central defenders Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez in the starting line-up. The two Spaniards continue to prove their solid partnership and have achieved flawless results in La Liga so far. In their last victory, a 7-0 win over Real Valladolid, they also failed to concede a goal.

The full-backs on either side of the two centre-backs are Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde. A great combination of power and electrifying pace, both players have their own strengths that are complemented by the presence of their full-back teammate on the opposite flank.

In midfield, Pedri remains in the starting line-up and is now partnered by Marc Casado. The two Spaniards will hope to offer as much balance and support as possible to both their forwards and defence over the course of the game.

Ahead of them, the trio of Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Raphinha are once again in the starting line-up. Given their good cooperation in recent games, it is no surprise that these Barcelona stars will play together again in a match.

Finally, the man leading the attack for Hansi Flick’s team will be none other than Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker continues to be in top form for both his club and his country and will be hoping to continue his scoring streak in La Liga against Michel’s team.
