Beach Cat Brewing Co. has announced that it is planning “Catoberfest,” an Oktoberfest-style fundraiser to benefit the Blaine Food Bank.

The ticketed 21-and-over event includes a beer garden, food, a cornhole tournament, live music and a costume contest from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Blaine Marine Park Amphitheater. All proceeds from ticket sales and the beer garden benefit the Blaine Food Bank.

General admission is $25 and VIP admission is $50. VIP tickets include a souvenir glass, two drink coupons and 20% off some food vendors.

The beer garden will feature Beach Cat Brewing Co. and will feature Oktoberfest-typical craft beers from over 10 breweries. The beer garden will open at 12pm for VIP ticket buyers and at 1pm for general admission.

Performances include Dad Company, Paper Hearts and Michael Dayvid. Food trucks will sell bratwurst, pizza and Filipino dishes, and L&L Bakery will offer German desserts.

Festival organizers are looking for additional event sponsors. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor is asked to email [email protected] or [email protected]. Donations can also be made directly to the food bank at blainefoodbank.org/donations.
