The Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) brings new public art to the Old East Dallas Work Yard Park.

The 6-acre neighborhood park has been around for over 40 years. Just a few years after the park’s creation, in 1984, the city appointed a public art coordinator to oversee public art projects. The park currently features picnic tables, walking trails, fountains, and a gazebo.

The OAC is hosting a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, August 28, from 6-7 p.m., where residents can provide feedback and suggestions that will help determine the scope of the new public art project.
