Olivia Munn and John Mulaney announce the birth of their second child

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney announced the birth of their second child together, a daughter.

Méi June Mulaney was born on September 14, Munn wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and underwent several surgeries and treatments. In May, she said that she had a hysterectomy during cancer treatment and decided to freeze her eggs in the hopes of having another child.

The hysterectomy and oophorectomy removed hormones from her body that were meant to prevent the cancer from returning, but they also deprived her of the ability to have children of her own in the future.

“I had so many deep emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” Munn wrote on Instagram on Sunday. “When I first met our surrogate, we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much kindness and understanding that I knew I had found a true angel.”

Munn continued, “Words cannot express my gratitude for protecting our baby for nine months and making our dreams come true.”

Munn said she was “proud of my little plum, my little dragon, for making the journey to be with us.” She added that Méi is pronounced “may” and means “plum” in Chinese.

“My heart exploded,” Munn said.

Munn and Mulaney also have a son together named Malcolm.
