On September 6, drinks will be on the house for all government employees

There are a number of benefits available to government employees that are not available in the private sector – but these benefits do not usually include free drinks at exclusive parties.

However, for those of you who want to work in the private sector or run a newspaper, for example, there is a new perk to be jealous of: an exclusive party with a DJ, alcoholic drinks and fun activities for government employees and their families.

The City of Greensboro and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce are partnering to host something new for the region: a Public Service Appreciation Night on Friday, September 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the event space at the Cadillac Service Garage, located at 304 E. Market St. in Greensboro.

This party takes place during the NC Folk Festival, so revelers can keep the party going by strolling toward the great music from downtown later in the evening.

The celebration is open to City of Greensboro, Guilford County and Guilford County Schools employees, faculty, first responders and their families. There will be free drinks and snacks, games and giveaways, and dancing with music provided by a DJ.

All public sector employees must bring their ID card to gain entry.

Parking is available in the February One parking garage at 110 S. Elm St. in Greensboro.
