OnCue recently announced that it will once again support the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Our Daily Bread and other food banks in the fight against hunger and food waste in Oklahoma, a state where food insecurity is 14.3%, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

OnCue collects products from each store each year to update its assortment while minimizing waste. The company collected $98,000 worth of non-perishable food and personal care products this year.

“The team ensures that all shelf-stable products find a new home at a food center and are distributed to people in the community who are experiencing food insecurity,” said OnCue President Laura Aufleger. “We are grateful for the opportunity to do something to help address hunger in our state.”

Since 2020, the company has raised over $331,500 worth of products and more than $50,000 in financial support for food centers in Oklahoma.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma was OnCue’s largest beneficiary, receiving over $63,733 – the equivalent of 4,615 pounds – worth of food. As the largest hunger relief charity in the state, this donation will provide an estimated 3,845 meals to fulfill the organization’s mission of providing nutritious food and pathways to self-sufficiency.

OnCue currently operates 70 stores in Oklahoma and employs more than 1,500 people.
