These include a $10,000 loan for restaurant equipment and up to $25,000 for façade improvements for small businesses locating in the downtown core.

The agency has also issued a community business proposal form to gather local suggestions and develop a strategy to attract quality retailers and restaurants. The form is available at https://form.jotform.com/241915994224160.

“Ontario’s vibrant and diverse communities provide an excellent foundation for attracting a wide range of businesses. We are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to ensure new businesses thrive in our city,” said Jennifer McLain Hiramoto, Executive Economic Development Director.
