Opening act for Post Malone’s Syracuse concert announced: Buzz

An indie country band will open for Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” tour, including the Syracuse concert next week.

Muscadine Bloodline, an Alabama duo consisting of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster, announced Wednesday that it had canceled plans for its own headlining fall tour after accepting an offer to open for Posty.

“We got a life-changing call this morning and Post Malone has offered to directly support the F-1 Billion Tour,” said Stanton and Muncaster. “We’re talking Nissan Stadium, Fenway Park, arenas and amphitheaters across the country. In the nine years we’ve been doing this, we never dreamed we’d have an opportunity like this. To tour the country with one of the biggest artists in the world for his entire tour.”

The Muscadine Bloodline bandmates apologized to their fans but said they couldn’t turn down a “once in a lifetime opportunity” that they will “tell our grandchildren about one day.” Refunds will be offered for canceled shows and the pair vowed to make those cities a “priority” on their next tour.

Muscadine Bloodline is an independent band that released their fourth album, “The Coastal Plain,” last month. The band is best known for the 2016 hit “Porch Swing Angel,” as well as songs like “Can’t Tell You No,” “Put Me in My Place,” and “Pieces.”

Muscadine Bloodline will open for Malone on Saturday, September 14th at 8 p.m. at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater in Lakeview. The Syracuse concert is sold out, but tickets are still available for resale at Live Nation, VividSeats and StubHub.
