With just seven games left in the NWSL regular season, the Currents have an opportunity this week to secure a postseason spot by first beating Orlando, then either the North Carolina Courage must win or tie Bay FC on Saturday, or NJ/NY Gotham must beat or tie the Seattle Reign on Monday, or Chicago must win or tie at the Portland Thorns on Friday night, or Racing Louisville must win/tie Angel City on Saturday.
KC Current is currently in third place and after playing away at first-place Orlando on Friday, KC will host second-place Washington Spirit at CPKC Stadium on September 20.
