The upcoming Britney Spears The biopic has the chance to be particularly authentic… as the new owner of the singer’s childhood home invites Universal Pictures to film on location.
The current owner of the Spears family’s old home in Kentwood, Louisiana, told TMZ that she was completely fine with camera crews coming to the property to shoot scenes for the Britney flick.
It sounds like the owner is willing to go to any lengths to make this happen… She tells us she has no problem with the production company removing her furniture and bringing in their own sets, which would have to be done to faithfully recreate Britney’s childhood environment in the 1980s and 1990s.
In addition, the owner informed us that she was willing to move out of the house for the duration of filming, but of course she would ask for financial compensation… which is common practice in the film industry.
TMZ uncovered the story… Britney’s parents’ house came onto the market last November for $1.2 million – the owner lives there until it is sold – and it still has some, but not all, of its original furnishings.
The original dance studio where little Britney with the bright eyes began her journey to superstardom is still there… as are some doodles from her childhood on a wall, including an obvious reference to Christina AguileraThere is also a message engraved in the concrete that reads “Love Britney” and some artwork that Brit supposedly left behind.
It’s unclear if Universal plans to film in Kentwood or simply recreate the house on a studio lot… but the offer is there.

In the meantime, Kentwood Mayor Irma T. Gordon says TMZ … the town has no problem with visiting film crews as it hopes the film will boost tourism.
Gordon says Kentwood is building a bigger and better Britney Spears museum and wants to be ready in time for the film, which has yet to be released in theaters.
