Park City Police receive complaints about loud music, shouting and alcohol consumption

Park City Police continued to respond to noise complaints as the community remained busy during the summer season.

Reports of parties and noise are often a sign that there is a lot going on in Park City.

The cases apparently resembled typical reports of disturbances of the peace. Many of the cases are classified as suspected disturbances of the peace.

Some of the recent cases:

  • On Sunday, August 11, at 11:01 p.m., police received a report of a party, described as loud, taking place at a location along Deer Valley Drive. The person who contacted police apparently represented a property management company.
  • On August 11 at 3:22 a.m., people were reported to be “screaming,” “drinking,” and “playing games” on Woodside Avenue. Police were told this was the third consecutive night of such incidents. The person stated that he was on nearby Park Avenue. Police classified the report as a suspected disturbance.
  • On August 11 at 1:39 a.m., the Police Department received a complaint about more than 10 people “listening to loud music and drinking” on Empire Avenue. They were in a public area and there had been previous problems, police were told.
  • At 1:33 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, police received a report of blaring music on Lowell Avenue for up to 45 minutes. The person who contacted police stated that their attempts to lower the volume were unsuccessful. Police classified the case as a suspected disturbance.
