PBSTEPS meeting, education booth, flea market

The PBSTEPS meeting on Tuesday, August 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. will be held in the Carrasco Room of the Midland College Scharbauer Student Center. is located in 3600 N. The Midland Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of Education luncheon on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bush Convention Center. This event will feature a panel discussion with area leaders. Universities.

This year’s luncheon will focus on the connections between higher education and workforce development in Midland and beyond, covering topics such as improving career pathways, advancing technology and meeting new industry demands. Senior Life Midland has announced the dates for its 35th annual Texas Size Garage Sale. Dates for the nonprofit’s annual fundraiser are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 11-12 and October 15-17 at 407 E. Scharbauer Drive.

With the official date announcement, the nonprofit organization would like to remind the public that it is also time to sign up as a volunteer.
