Perry Ellis International has signed a new licensing agreement with Pegasus Home Fashions to expand its presence in the home goods category, it said in a press release last week.
Under the agreement, Pegasus will develop and distribute home goods such as pillows, mattress pads, mattress toppers and down comforters under Perry Ellis’ brands, including Original Penguin, Laundry by Shelli Segal and Rafaella. The products will be licensed and available in the U.S. and Canada, the press release said.
The Original Penguin products from the deal are expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024, while Laundry by Shelli Segal and Rafaella products are expected to launch in spring 2025.

Perry Ellis International designs, distributes and licenses men’s and women’s clothing, accessories and fragrances. In addition to the eponymous brands Original Penguin, Laundry by Shelli Segal and Rafaella, the company also owns Cubavera, Ben Hogan and Savane.
Last year, the company signed a separate licensing agreement with Peerless Clothing International to produce bespoke menswear for the brand of the same name and Original Penguin.
Pegasus is a North American manufacturer specializing in utility bedding. Last year, the company was acquired by Blue Torch Capital after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to a report by Home Textiles Today.
