Perry Farrell punches Dave Navarro during Jane’s Addiction concert

A Jane’s Addiction concert ended in chaos after lead singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro.

On Friday, September 13, the band was performing at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston when an argument broke out between the two band members during a performance of “Ocean Size” from the group’s 1988 album. Nothing is shocking.

In a video of the incident posted on YouTube, Farrell, 65, appeared agitated as he repeated a type of chant toward the crowd before turning to Navarro, 57, who was playing guitar, and repeating the chant in his direction.

Farrell then appeared to yell “Fuck you!” while shoulder-bumping his colleague, who placed his arm on the lead singer’s chest in what appeared to be an attempt to restrain him. Farrell then struck out at Navarro.

Several people then ran onto the stage to hold Farrell back. Navarro was later seen taking off his guitar and placing it on the floor as the lights in the hall dimmed, bringing the concert to an abrupt end.

Representatives for Farrell and Navarro, as well as Live Nation, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Footage of the incident was also shared on X (formerly Twitter) by another concertgoer, who wrote in the caption: “Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro got into a fight and the concert ended.”

“I was there. The crowd was confused. Half mad that the show ended early and half excited that we may have seen the last Janes A show ever,” another fan wrote on the social media platform.

The shocking moment between Farrell and Navarro occurred during the band’s current North American tour, which began in Las Vegas on August 9 and marks the first time since 2010 that the band will perform in its classic lineup of Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery.

After the onstage brawl, Avery, Perkins and Navarro returned to the stage to say goodbye to the crowd by making peace signs, waving and tapping their hearts. diversity reported.
