The Burgenland State Police Directorate announced today that two motorcycle thefts that occurred in the Oberpullendorf district have been partially solved. A 21-year-old was arrested as a suspect and reported to the public prosecutor while still at large. The search is still ongoing for the second suspect.
PILGERSDORF. On Monday, police officers in Pilgersdorf two motorcyclistswhose vehicles had no license plates. The two suspects evaded a Traffic stopor a police checkpoint. During the pursuit, the drivers fled into a nearby forest area.
Within a very short time a motorcycle and an e-scooter in the ditch in the area of Pilgersdorf was found by the police. During the search, a male, 21-year-old suspectwas found hidden in a hedge. The Hungarian citizen was arrested. During the further course of the investigation it was discovered that the motorcycle he was riding had already been reported stolen on June 27th.
The second vehicle was found in a forest clearing and also reported stolen on February 3. The 21-year-old was released and handed over to the responsible Public Prosecutor’s Office displayed.
Die Damaged The two motorcycle thieves have been located and will be released shortly, while there is still no further information about the owner of the e-scooter.
