Pittman Park UMC distributes flood buckets on Friday

First come, first served, flood buckets filled with cleaning supplies will be distributed at Pittman Park Church in Statesboro, GA on Friday, August 9th from 10am to 4pm or until all are distributed.

Pitman Park United Methodist Church will be distributing flood bucket cleanup kits valued at $75.00 per kit on Friday, August 9, 2024. Distribution will begin at 10am and continue until 4pm or until buckets are empty. First come, first served.

Come to the parking lot behind the church and look for volunteers. Pittman Park is located at 1102 Fair Road in Statesboro, GA.

The cleaning sets include:

Materials for the cleaning kit

  • One round bucket with lid and a capacity of 5 gallons (14.35 inches H x 12.19 inches W x 12.19 inches D)
  • One 32–64 oz. bottle of liquid laundry detergent
  • One 16-40 oz. bottle of liquid household cleaning concentrate
  • One 16–34 oz. bottle of liquid dishwashing detergent
  • One 4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener
  • A 6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent (pack of 10-20 wipes also acceptable)
  • A scrubbing brush
  • 18 reusable cleaning cloths
  • Five scouring pads
  • 36–50 clothespins
  • A 15-30 m long clothesline (cotton or plastic)
  • 24 rolls of heavy-duty trash bags (sizes 33-45 gallons)
  • Five N95 particulate respirators (1-3 mm thick)
  • Two pairs of kitchen gloves
  • A pair of work gloves
