Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a reported robbery at a gas station on Forest Avenue in Portland.
The male suspect entered the Riverton gas station on Forest Avenue around 2 p.m. Saturday and demanded money from the clerk, Portland police spokesman Brad Nadeau said in a news release. He was wearing a white mask and had a baseball bat with him, Nadeau said.
Nadeau said the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled toward the nearby Gerald E. Talbot Community School.
Police described the suspect as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and with “yellow teeth and a brown goatee.”
